Alan Stuart "Al" Franken is the Emmy-winning comedy writer and political satirist who became a U.S. Senator from Minnesota in 2009. Al Franken is also one of the members of Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party that state's associate of the Democratic Party.
Before moving on to writing and acting in several films, Franken first became well-known as a writer and performer for the television show “Saturday Night Live” (SNL).
