Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy is no more but do you know that which’s the place who loved most? Well, it is the Idupulapaya Estate from his Kadapa district, where YSR’s funeral was held means he was laid to rest at this place that was close to his heart.
Approximately extended over 100 acres, the luxuriant green family estate is situated 40 km from Pulivendu. During his all visit to Kadapa district and inquired about various plantations in the estate, he was popularly known as “YSR”, stayed at the estate. His parents were interred there; also one of this reasons the place was also close and dear to his heart.
But opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had accused that the family gains the land in violation of various regulations, while YSR's family owned the estate for over three decades. So it was at the centre of a controversy. TDP leader is filed this case which is pending in the court.
For distribution among poor in 2006, YSR had surrendered over 600 acres of the estate land. His father Y.S. Raja Reddy bought the land from his hard earned money and cultivated it sated by YSR on a number of occasions.
