The ‘R’ version comes with new brakes and exhaust system, though the engine remains unchanged. Besides this, it has fully adjustable front forks, revised rear shock on a new aluminum swing arm, radial front brakes with braded lines and ABS as an option. Some tweeks like nose cone, indicators and footpegs have been made to include some style in the bike. It also features limited edition colors and revised clocks. Handlebar ends and ergonomics have also been revised.
Sales and Marketing Manager for Kawasaki Motors UK, Michael Johnstone shares says, “The Z750R is an impressive package. It has been designed to take the handling, braking and overall specification of the hugely popular Z750 to a totally new level, justifying the exclusive R status of our new mid-weight naked contender for the coming year”.
2011 Kawasaki Z750R is low priced top seller bike in the French, Italian and Spanish markets. Kawasaki has responded with a new Z750R variant because Triumph's Street Triple R and the Yamaha FZ8 have increased competition in the class. The big changes are new suspension at both ends plus radial mounts for the four-piston Nissin calipers for a price in the vicinity of GBP7250. The brake lines are now steel braided items which reflect the overall high specifications of a machine rewarding hard riding with cornering poise and responsive feedback.
In October, the bike will be seen at the Intermot exhibition in Cologne and after that at the Carole Nash Motorcycle Live event in the UK in November. This bike also has an aluminum swinging arm and remote reservoir piggy-back rear shock and all designed to further refine the Z's excellent handling. The biggest functional difference of the most obvious difference is the new 41mm highly adjustable front forks. The new bike with a raft of genuine accessories planned will be supported by Kawasaki which includes a Kawasaki Akrapovik slip-on silencer.
