New upgraded or face-lifted model of the Nano, Tata Nano Plus will be launched in 2011 in Indian market. The first TV commercial of Nano will be launched soon by the India's largest automobile company, Tata Motors. With its well-known model Tata Nano, Tata Motors appears to be getting aggressive. Tata motor is planning to introduce Tata nano plus in 2011 in India due to the new Tata nano plus will come with the changes according to the customer’s advice and market research.
New Tata Nano Plus car contains the 1000cc engine, music system, ABS, better style, quality interior, and alloy wheels. In the previous model of Nano, 623cc engine was used. Nano Plus appears to be designed on lines of the Nano Europa and Chevrolet Spark and Maruti Alto will competitor of new Nano plus in the segment. Price of Tata Nano Plus will be higher than the existing variants. At present, bookings for the second time have also been started by the company while any official press release for the same has not been given by it. In Kerala, last month, it had received an over-whelming response for starting bookings on the auspicious festival season.
In March 2009, Tata Motors created history with its launch of the cheapest car Nano in the world. Taking the cue, for the vehicles particularly in India and China, global vehicle manufacturers have been rapid to develop their own low-cost cars to tap the growing market. But, analysts feel wonder about how the labors of the companies to develop small cars will pay off in the long run. For development of low-cost cars in India, the case has been given the truth that the Indian consumer is highly aware about cost, and to make his decisions to buy a car, he/she considers not only the retail price of the car but also a host of other factors such as fuel efficiency and running costs.
After a small response from Indian markets, which primarily focuses on its viability and security, Tata Motors said that the sales of Nano did not live up to the expectations of company although the price tag was less than Rs 1 lakh. The company officials are promising that the interest of the huge consumer base in India will be attracted by the new version of the Nano even if the new car is tipped to cross the 1 lakh mark.
