As F.E.A.R. 3 game has been postponed from 2010 to 2011, and now once again it pushed back so some gamers are feared that it may be released or not. F.E.A.R. 3 is scheduled to be released on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and OnLive in May 2011. Fear 3 is being delayed by Day 1 Studios to deliver the best possible game for their customers. Director John Carpenter has been brought as an adviser by the studio to make this horror genre game more terrifying.
For the horror FPS franchise, things appear a bit unsteady with its new release date sometime in May. It might appear similar to F.E.A.R. 3 is living upto the history of its previous titles with two infamously successful release windows. First title of F.E.A.R. game was released in 2005. F.E.A.R. game has become one of the more unique first person shooters of its time by combination of the game’s use of bullet-time with its mood and atmosphere.
It seemed similar to F.E.A.R. was on the fast track to become the next Resident Evil after marginal success. And problems were started unluckily. Developer of the first game, Monolith Productions was left with a concept but no title after activation absorbed Vivendi Universal. To choose a new title, Monolith took the gaming community with a new partner in Warner Bros.
Monolith started to work hard for getting a well-known IP with a different title marketed to the gaming public. The F.E.A.R. name was secured by the Warner Bros. and F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin was born. The F.E.A.R. 3 postponement started, when received review scores were settled in the middle to high range and ended on one heck of a cliffhanger, it appeared unavoidable that F.E.A.R. would become a trilogy, to be completed some time in late 2010.
They hopefully will not take away from the game itself whereas delays and problems do put a smudge on the reputation of F.E.A.R. 3. By telling the story of the Point Man and his brother, Paxton Fettel, F.E.A.R. 3 takes a unique twist on the horror series. The company was responsible for the 360 and PS3 ports of the first game under the development of Day 1 Studios.
